Pfandring®
»An addition to public trash cans with place for bottles and cans which have a refundable deposit.«
With the Pfandring®, passersby can leave their refundable bottles and cans with good conscience, knowing that bottle collectors do not have to rummage in the trash cans. Refundable bottles and cans remain recyclable and are not burned, meaning fewer costs, fewer CO2 emissions since fewer recyclable goods are burned, and fewer cleaning costs for the city. The Pfandring raises environmental awareness, and with it, more neighborly communication and cooperation. By August 2019 more than 60 cities in Germany use the Pfandring.
